Monday - Friday - 5.5 Hours per day
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Meet the following requirements to be highly qualified:
- Completed two years of study at an institute of higher learning
OR
- Ability to work successfully with young children to improve their learning
- Ability to:
- Keep accurate records
- Work with others and take directions
- Keep information confidential
- Solve problems
- Communicate accurately and appropriately
- Interest in assessment of learning
- Flexible and open to new experiences
- Experience working with young children preferred
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate as active member of Building Intervention Team
- Administer assessments to students
- Work directly with student on prescriptive programming provided by the classroom teacher or building principal.
- Provide feedback concerning student progress
- Gather and prepare materials used with their intervention students
- Maintain a daily activity log
- Cooperate in building initiates as designed by principal and District Intervention Manager
- Any other duties as assigned by building Principal
PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Job performance is evaluated annually in accordance with the policy provisions and contractual agreements adopted by the Warren Woods Public Schools Board of Education.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to write, correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff, parents and students.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

An Intervention Assistant works within a office setting and move about as needed. The job typically requires minimal physical exertion; individuals in this position may be on their feet throughout the workday. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and building. In addition, the person may need to occasionally push or lift equipment or boxes. The employee may need to travel to other buildings occasionally. The employee will need specific vision abilities to perform office work. The employee may be required to meet multiple demands from several people and interact with the public and other staff.
